Mike Foppen is a middle-distance athlete (1.500m – 5.000m) from the Netherlands, living and training in Nijmegen. He has won multiple titels at Dutch National Championships and he has represented the Netherlands at numerous international championships. Furthermore, he is the Dutch national record holder on the 5000m and 5K road.
Mike has been training with his coach Joshua Mols since he was 8 years old. He represents De Zevenheuvelenloop, a running race in Nijmegen and one of the biggest races in The Netherlands. Aside from being a professional athlete, Mike is attending a master in Work, Organisation and Health at the Radboud University in Nijmegen. In August 2019, he received his Bachelor of Science. In the upcoming year all eyes will be on the Tokyo 2021 Olympics.
